Microsoft’s Sphere – next iteration of multi-touch

BetaNews just published a link about a new toy from Microsoft Surface team – Microsoft’s Sphere. Surface software in the ball. Even though a hardware is not of Microsoft’s origin, software is inherited from Surface project.

You can watch a little presentation about possible application of technology. Fun experience I would say.

One Response to Microsoft’s Sphere – next iteration of multi-touch

  1. Lars Fosdal says:

It is funny how we spent so many years before finally getting flat screens, and now we are going to “throw it all away” :D

There was a really interesting video linked in one of the comments on BetaNews. It shows the “opposite” approach to interactive displays, a handheld projector with a virtual pen and motion/position tracking. It is not just miniaturized projector.

From being a junior developer all the way to Development Manager position, I was always interested in new technologies. Passionate speaker, IT junky, developer, architect, team lead, and development manager - many hats, one goal - making software better and closer to people’s needs. For the most part I am using my blog as a scratch pad, writing small articles on things which I came across, was asked about more then once, and which would otherwise require additional research again and again.
