		<description>Good call.  Mine was failing because of a user logged in over RDP who had printer redirection turned on.  The reg key points to the culprit.

		<description>I had the same problem with the logitech garbage in the registery.  Just want to add two minor clarification:
1- I didn&#039;t removed the PendingFileRenameOperations registery but only the content
2- I didn&#039;t rebooted after step 1 but I justed clicked on rescan in the SQL installation tool</description>

If you have VPC or WMWare I would try installing there first with XPSP3 installed...
WMWare allows you recreteate image of your main system and then you can play with settings without a chance to break your main installation.</description>
