Menalto’s Gallery 2.3 has been released

If you ever visited my photo gallery, you  may noticed that it runs on Menalto’s Gallery 2 engine.

With recent release of 2.3 version, I have updated my installation as well.

Few bug fixes may not worth mentioning, but noticeable change is in slide show plug-in. Starting this version slide show uses Cooliris’s PicLens. You can see a sample here.

Why would I want to mention it?

Aside from being nice piece of software, CoolIris was a place where Danny Thorpe was working for some time.

“Was” because Danny is back at Microsoft (see some notes in his blog above).

From a junior developer through Sr Manager position, I was always interested in new technologies. Passionate speaker, IT junky, developer, architect, team lead, and development manager - many hats, one goal - making software better and being closer to people’s needs. For the most part I am using my blog as a scratch pad, writing small articles on things which I came across, was asked about more then once, and which would otherwise require additional research again and again.
